Mitsubishi Electric utilizes solar energy, helping to reduce carbon emissions equivalent to planting more than 26,300 trees
Mitsubishi Electric Kang Yong Watana Co., Ltd. (MKY), the authorized distributor of Mitsubishi Electric electrical appliances in Thailand, continues to promote environmentally conscious business practices in line with the Environmental Sustainability Vision 2050 set forth by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in Japan.
In 2026, the company continues to use renewable energy from solar panels, reducing its total electricity consumption from approximately 1,500 to 1,350 megawatt-hours per year. This clean energy usage helps reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions by approximately 640 tons annually, which is equivalent to planting over 26,300 trees. This initiative underscores the company’s continued commitment to minimizing its environmental impact and advancing sustainable business practices.
This commitment to environmental responsibility is part of the company’s long-term goals to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, aiming for a balanced and sustainable future for future generations.
